Central India is perhaps the most organized wildlife experience in the country. It is also home to some wonderful lodges and some of the best naturalists in the country today. Some of the popular parks here are: Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Kanha Tiger Reserve, Pench Tiger Reserve and Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. However, some of the lesser visited and often more experiential parks in this region are Panna Tiger Reserve and Satpura Tiger Reserve. Needless to say, that the tiger remains the biggest attraction in the wildlife parks in this region. However, some other key species to look-out for in these parks are leopard, dhole (Asiatic wild dog), rusty spotted cat, gaur (Indian bison), marsh crocodile and about 350 species of birds.
